Sometimes, it is so hard to stay on the right path during our Christian walk. There are many things that can throw us off, whether it be yielding to the flesh, taking the suggestions of Satan, or walking hand-in-hand with the world. Many "Christians" have decided the struggle to do right is not worth the effort, so they refuse to deal with aspects of their lives that are inconsistent with the Bible.
It is worth the effort!
I have often made the statement to friends of mine that if they were to turn back from the strait path, if my pastor was to turn back from the strait path, if my wife and children were to turn back from the strait path, I would stand in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Well, we had another great hour in radio with the special Christmas edition of Hatefulness Hour. This is my favorite hour because I really like to hear what is frustrating people out there. And some of it is really OUT THERE. We even had someone call in to say they hate white people tonight! Of course, we have no idea why they have something against albinos, but they will just have to deal with it. We haven't heard from some of our old listeners in quite awhile, so I want to encourage all of our listeners to call. We do appreciate all our listeners, and callers help to make the show what it is (don't know if this is a good thing or not.
I read a new article today discussing the effects of global warming at the north pole. I have often discredited global warming as something that is not necessarilly stoppable, something that will likely never happen, or will happen so radically different from what the educated science departments of today describe, that we won't even realize it's global warming...
Yes, you've heard it first right here. It is official. I'm running for president! I have wishwashy opinions on everything, I don't really stand for anything, and if you invite me over for dinner a couple times, I'll even change my vote for you! With this campaign strategy, I'm sure to win! Yesterdays election proves it!
One of the issues that the Lord has been convicting my heart about lately is wickedness in the world around me. I believe in ecclesiastical separation, and I try to follow biblical guidelines where ever possible. But my wife and I were arguing about a particular point the other night, I came across a line that I may have crossed, but I don't know where to draw that line.
Thats right, it is the greatest hour in radio. August 21 2006.( That's tomorrow or today depending on when you read this)
Are you tired of incompetance, idiots, or little old ladies driving 10 under in the fast lane? How about the condition of our churches or the deplorable state of this country? Then give us a call and tell us what you hate. Relieve yourself of all that pent up emotion and take this opportunity to vent your spleen!?( as my co-host would say.)
Society has convinced the christian that it is wrong to hate, but the bible teaches that to be a christian you must hate. Hate is an inconvenient and uncomfortable action for the wimpy or effeminate. Hate demands a black and white perspective towards sin and the workers of iniquity.
There is no doubt who our Saviour is. There is no doubt what God did for us, and absolutely No doubt what the Lord Jesus Christ did for us. Everybody knows that Jesus Christ spent his whole life living perfectly and about 30 years of age, he began teaching. I believe it was roughly two and a half to three and a half years Jesus spent teaching everyone who would listen. After that period, His time came when he allowed himself to be taken before the secular government to be named a blasphemer and slain. Everybody knows Jesus Christ became a lamb and was slain upon the cross at Calvary.
Just last night a group of young men travelled down to Mill Avenue, a very popular nightspot with Arizona State University near. Whenever we go street preaching in Tempe, it amazes me how the world views Christians who actually try to tell others about their faith. They will cuss you out, scream at you, flash vulgar signs, say they love satan and attempt to ignore you for the most part. There are the ones who wish to engage you in conversation. These conversations are interesting but they still think we are foolish. Those that would agree with us, for the most part, think we are foolish for doing what we are doing. What we preach is foolish to most.
