The Deepest Lessons

I claim to be a preacher. I try to spend time each day reading the Word of God and learning about His grace, how I should live my life, and lately, what things I should be thankful for. It may be cliche at this time of year, but the Bible reminds of dozens of times to be faithful and not forget about God. If we can't remember a simple think like God, how many other things are we taking for granted? Shouldn't God be the biggest driving force in our lives, regardless of what we are doing?

FAMILY CAMP WAS A BLAST!!!!

Mat 26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Islamic Faith vs. Christian Hypocracy

I was reading FoxNews and I came across a story, I'll try to sum it up here...

The Iraqi soccer team just won the big championship, so the army tries to helicopter in soccer balls to a bunch of kids to support what the Iraqi team has done and give the kids some good fun. It's a really great idea. They printed the Iraqi flag on all the balls no differently than we print team names on ball caps. But the Iraqi flag has the name 'Allah' on it and has some Qu'ran scripture on it, so they were extremely upset that we wanted these children to kick the balls that had 'Allah' on them...

Announcements

Well, we just finished another Hatefulness Hour, and it was a great one. Next week we are going to have a special guest on the program speaking about the King James Bible, one of our favorite topics around here.

I would also like to post a blog sometime soon about this race we are running as Christians. It can be a rough road sometimes, but the writer of Hebrews puts it well:

Moderation or Loose living?

Phi 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
Phi 4:5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
Phi 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Phi 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Creation vs Science Falsely So Called

1Ti 6:20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:

Stay tuned for our next Mon night show for we have a special guest lined up for Mon the 2nd of July. Carl Kerby, who is considered one of AiG’s most dynamic lecturers on the book of Genesis, is a founding board member of AiG. He is also considered the ‘father’ of AiG’s highly popular website (with up to 50,000 daily visits!).

What Is Your Final Authority?

Rom 3:3 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?
Rom 3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, .......

Praise the Lord! It's good to be saved. It's good to be alive in these exciting, but sad times. Exciting, because the worse it gets the closer we get to the return of our Lord. (Yes, I do believe He is coming.) Sad, because unbelief waxes worse and worse. There have always been skeptics through the ages, but it seems as time goes by the more prevelent they become.

Cliques within the church

Awhile back, I preached a sermon on cliques within the local church. It was focused on how many in the pews are overlooked and ignored, and how they are left starving for fellowship from those "inner circle" folks that tend to flock together. It is very much an emotion that God has put into us that we desire being around other Christians and fellowshipping with others of like faith.

Pro 27:17 Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

1Jo 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
