SURVIVING IN THE LIMBO-LAND OF BEING SINGLE PART 1

The church of the Lord Jesus Christ will have no problem accepting that when it comes to the after-life, the Scriptures do not support a "purgatory" for those who have not been as faithful. (Saved or unsaved alike.) Unfortunately, parents and single young people can manufacture one for themselves in this life, that can be a great problem for the church.

THE MANUFACTURED SUFFERING OF PURGATORY

Homosexuality, the epitomy of intolerance and hostility!

Gen 19:1 And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;
Gen 19:2 And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.

The people had a mind to work!!!!

Neh 4:6 So built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work.

We had a grand time in Portland!

A thousand thanks to the dear folks at the (soon to renamed, well mybe not so soon if Pastor Wright has to sift through all the suggestions of Pastors Dan and Jerry) Towncenter Baptist Church. Our family had a time of refreshment and renewal during the meetings. Pastor Townsend's messages were timely and powerful. God worked not only in the lives of those at (someday to be renamed) Towncenter Baptist, but also in my life.

A lot has happened since my last blog.

To start, we had a wonderful fellowship meeting this past Feb.This was the 14th year we've been holding these meetings and every year has been a time of refreshment and encouragment. This year was no exception. God allowed us to be blessed through the singing and preaching of the Karpenko family and Pastor Robin Wright. Attendence was great, and the spirit was sweet. The Lord allowed us to make some new friends by meeting Pastor Gary Johnston and his family.

First of all I did'nt say he is preaching hate. He is promoting anti-hate
laws that are intolerant, and tyranical. These are laws that will not permit

Preaching in Douglas

I was recently asked to preach to Haven Baptist Fellowship in Douglas, Arizona. We loaded up all the kids, headed down, and had a wonderful time with the folks down there. What a great group of believers! I hope to visit with them again very soon.

The Lord laid on my heart the last two verses of I Corinthians 6, so this is what I preached.

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

They Shall Not Be ashamed

I posted this on my blog at:

But I thought it was worth repeating here:

We just had great success with our garage sale the past two weekends. I always say, "I hate having garage sales," and I still do, but it is amazing how much easier it is when you do well, praise the Lord!

It amazes me how helpful the kids were the past two weekends. Sometimes as you go through life day by day, it is difficult to step back and realize how special each of your children are. As parents, we too often take for granted the time God has given us with our kids.
